What optiion is better: van leasing or van rental?

Perhaps the most common question that I and my colleagues are asked year in and year out is how to make the choice between renting a vehicle and leasing. If a customer took a lease, what would be the obvious advantages over a rental agreement?
It is very simple really. When taking out a lease on a vehicle, there is a wide choice to consider, from the familiar brands and makes on offer. You can select the colour and the technical options for size and specification that you desire. As a customer you are spreading your monthly payments over a set term and as a result your monthly payments will be cheaper than renting. The finance company knows how much the customer has committed, and therefore knows how much will be earnt from the deal.
The company has good bargaining power due to the volume of units that are negotiated each financial year, giving them the opportunity of passing lower prices to the customers. This results in lower up front costs which help improve the cash flow to the customer’s business. The customer can choose then to sell the vehicle when the contract agreement has finished. A customer can then keep any equity that is earnt when the vehicle is put up for sale.
There is the added bonus of being able to sign write your vehicle with your own company logo and add other extras such as roof racks and interior racking.
Renting the vehicle is the alternative, but at the end of the deal when you have had enough, you will have nothing left to show. In this current econmic climate it surely doesn’t make much sense financially!!
